What is raw hemp oil?

The term "crude" refers to a substance in its natural state, without having undergone any additional refining or treatment processes.

Crude oil is a direct extract obtained after extraction, which is filtered to remove impurities. In the case of ethanol extraction, for example, the hemp plant is soaked in ethanol for several days. During this period, the alcohol captures compounds from the plant, such as cannabinoids and terpenes. After heating and evaporating the ethanol, the result is a crude oil. To learn more about the ethanol extraction process, see the extraction methods section.

Crude oil retains a natural profile of terpenes and cannabinoids. Compared to isolates or distillates, crude oil offers the full spectrum of compounds from the hemp plant, so it could be more potent as it takes advantage of the entourage effect. This effect suggests that the compounds present in the plant, when acting together, could generate a more beneficial impact than when consumed in isolation. In addition, it maintains the natural terpenes, which contributes to its unique profile.

It is important to note that our special raw oil should not be confused with other unfiltered raw oils, which are usually dark in color. In contrast, the taste of our raw oil is remarkably smooth, unlike other oils that are characterized by a bitter taste. Thanks to the terpenes present, our oil has a taste closer to hemp, with nutty nuances, making it more natural and pleasant to the palate.

In general, crude oil is perceived less as a lifestyle product and is geared more toward those seeking naturalness, as well as for applications in the medical field.
