What is biomass?
Hemp biomass describes dried industrial hemp in extraction quality. It is the basic raw material for most cannabinoid extracts, isolates, and distillates. Hemp biomass contains all the leaves, trim, stems, and other components of the hemp plant. It also has a high concentration of cannabinoid-rich bud material. The value of hemp biomass depends on the cannabinoid concentration of the biomass. In addition, hemp biomass can also be used for the production of smokable products or as nutritious animal feed.
How is it produced?
Hemp biomass is obtained by drying and shredding the larger parts of the plant, reducing them to a more manageable size suitable for use. In Europe, hemp harvesting usually takes place at the end of September. Specific machines designed for this crop are used, ensuring efficient harvesting. To ensure consistent and optimal quality, we carry out detailed analyses of cannabinoids (including THC), heavy metals and pesticides on each batch produced.
